lyrics
In my conception music is a motion
A different perception of our kingdom
With no prescription even for the love songs
It has been brocken, you know what I’m sayin’ ?
I’ve met the king of fame, his name is no one
He said ‘’I’m Jesus ... well none as Bacchus’’
Obey the rules and fear me little genius
I got the friends you’ll have the fame I’ll have the cash before you die
Small idiot, I’m gonna tell what’s right or wrong what smells great to my cocaine nose,
Through my costly rings, through my golden ears.
I got the friends you’ll have the fame I’ll have the cash before you die
Now they hang a toxic smile
Later they will show the teeth
Man manoeuvred split
Now they’re busy on the line,
Later they’ll beg for a kiss
Man manoeuvred split
Man manoeuvred split
Man manoeuvred split
Man manoeuvred split
Just go for it
Man manoeuvred split
You can suck my dick
Man manoeuvred split
Listen to the shit and plug your ears right to my fears
Radio number hit, radio number shit
Music for diabetics, and chords for cosmetic
I feel more cosmic than robotic
They say that I might be sick.
Now they hang a toxic smile
Later they will show the teeth
Man manoeuvred split
Now they’re busy on the line,
Later they’ll beg for a kiss
Man manoeuvred Kiss
Man manoeuvred bliss
Man manoeuvred blitz
Man manoeuvred split
Now they hang a toxic smile
Later they will show the teeth
Now they hang ....
Now they hang a toxic smile
Later they will show the teeth

John Drumbo French from Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band worked with Thompson on two albums along with Fred Frith and Henry Kaiser.
Those two French, Frith, Kaiser and Thompson albums led me to this.
Also, Richard Thompson taught Hugh Cornwell (of The Stranglers) how to play the bass guitar in a band when they were both at the same school (Emil and The Detectives?).
With a career spanning 50 years and playing with two of my heroes (French and Cornwell) Thompson has produced a fascinating EP. yellowcakeuf6
